CTET is a short form of Central Teaching Eligibility Test. This is an Indian entrance exam for the teaching profession, it launched in 2011 by CBSE. Structure of the CTET:

It is an offline test, which includes objective type question. Each question has four choices of answers and there are 150 questions of 150 marks. There is no negative marking in the CTET.
There are two papers of CTET, one is for classes I to V and second is for classes VI to VIII. And if a candidate wants to give both exams then they have to appear in both exams. 

In paper-I, each section has 30 questions and those have 30 marks each. So there are total 150 questions of 150 marks with the time duration of two and half hours.

      II.                        Language I (compulsory)
    III.                        Language II (compulsory)
    IV.                        Mathematics
      V.                        Environmental Studies

In paper-II, three sections have 30 questions and those have 30 marks each. The fourth section is optional that contains 60 questions of 60 marks. So there are total 150 questions of 150 marks with the time duration of two and half hours.

    IV.                 IV. Science and Mathematics (for Science and Mathematics teachers) 60 questions of 60 Marks

Candidates who have been cleared the CTET and got the certificate that is valid for 7 years. This certificate is used for applying for government teaching jobs.
